Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebration

Today we celebrated the 90th birthday of Queen Elizabeth II.

We made this a special day in school by watching an assembly with other schools around the country.   This assembly was held in the grounds of Windsor Castle.  Pupils from local junior schools were invited to a tea party to represent the ten decades of the Queen’s reign.  At one of the tables children were dressed in the different clothes of the commonwealth countries.   Prior to this, every pupil in school received a red white and blue cake made by Mrs Baldwin.
