Class 4 enjoyed an afternoon of working in the garden. They made shelters from natural materials and tested them to see how they would withstand rainfall.
Next, they used flints, in a controlled manner, to make a spark which could start a fire, a survival skill for in the wild.
Finally, a fire was lit and the children were able to toast and enjoy eating marshmallows, yum! An alternative was found for those who were unable to eat the marshmallows.
