Chance to Shine – Yorkshire Tea Week

Due to the weather, the planned activities for Yorkshire Tea Week took place later than planned. Despite the postponement they were a great success.
Cricket was introduced at lunchtimes on the field and was a great ‘hit’ with all of our pupils.
The whole school cricket games at South Shields were brilliant fun and saw our youngest pupils, older pupils staff and parents all involved in games of Diamond Cricket.
Year 3 and Year 4 took part in a Mini Cricket World Cup. Pupils worked in their House groups and represented: Sri Lanka, Pakistan, India and England. They all played brilliant cricket with some fantastic displays of fielding. The winner of OLST’s Cricket World Cup was England, also known as St Cuthbert.
