This communication is in response to the latest developments regarding the new strain. This is obviously a rapid changing situation which requires action today.
School will be open for key worker and vulnerable children only from tomorrow Monday 4th January 2020.
We will operate unless told otherwise with the list of pupils we have. If anyone’s circumstances have changed, please contact the school office. Breakfast Club will be available as normal for those children.
The school day will be from 8.45am – 3.10pm and all children will be dropped off and picked up from their usual entry/exit point. We will maintain the class bubble arrangements.
I am fully appreciative of the complications this will give our families, please know that OLST is doing it’s very best in difficult circumstances.
Your support means such a lot to the school team that are trying their best to navigate this unprecedented situation. I am hopeful this is just a short term measure given numbers and rise in infection rates and school will be open to all from Monday 18th January.
The light at the end of the tunnel is the vaccine roll-out across the country. We are on this very difficult journey together and I have no doubt that OLST as a school community will do what it needs to be done to ensure we are confident in a safe learning environment for all.
