At OLST, we have experience of supporting children with a wide range of needs, including:
- General learning difficulties – those children whose learning progresses at a slower pace than others
- Speech and Language difficulties
- Dyslexia (difficulties with Reading, spelling and Handwriting – now known as a Specific difficulty within English
- Dyspraxia
- Dyscalculia (now known as a specific difficulty within Maths)
- Autistic Spectrum
- Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD)
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Downs Syndrome
- Cerebral Palsy
- Other Physical / Medical needs
- Mental Health issues
The school provides data on the levels and types of need to the Local Authority. This is collected through the school census.
